The Freshmen showed their fighting spirit as they bagged for the basketball championship against the Juniors during the Sports Festival of Institute of Arts and Sciences held last August 2-4, 2007 at Dagupan Campus.

It was a double-elimination type of game. The Dominant Sophie’s lose on the first game with the Young Freshies so as with the game of the Flaming Juniors against the Giant Seniors on the second game.

The Dominant Sophie’s tried their best to coin the game but the Flaming Juniors beat them down. The Young Freshies played against the Giant Seniors like David and Goliath. It is really amazing to watch how the Freshmen beat the Seniors. As young as they were, they showed their determination and strength in bagging the championship crown. With Jameson Anchoco in the role of the Captain ball, the Freshmen proved that their youth is not a hindrance in winning and besting the Seniors in the game.

As the Young Freshmen bagged the championship, the Giant Seniors landed on the 2nd place, the Flaming Juniors on the 3rd place and the Dominant Sophomores on the 4th place.

The Basketball for the women’s division was played with a lot of laughter and fun.
The first game was played between the Young freshmen and the Dominant Sophomores wherein each team tried their best to win the game but as with the men’s division, the Freshies beat the Sophie’s. The second game was played between the flaming Juniors and the Giant Seniors with the Juniors winning the game.

During the championship match, the fighting spirit that the boys of the Freshies had showed during their basketball match was also very evident during the game played by the women’s division of the Freshies but their luck did not hold this time as the Flaming Women Juniors went on to win the game.
The basketball match was a successful one and had shown the athletic skills of the students.
